Πρόωρες εκλογές θα λάβουν χώρα στη Βουλγαρία στις 9 Ιουνίου, μετά και το διορισμό υπηρεσιακής κυβέρνησης υπό τον πρωθυπουργό Ντίμιταρ Γκλάβτσεφ, από τον πρόεδρο της χώρας Ρούμεν Ράντεφ, όπως αναφέρει σε ανακοίνωσή της η προεδρία.
Οι βουλευτικές εκλογές αναμένεται να συμπέσουν με τις ευρωεκλογές, όπως αναφέρεται.
“Πρέπει να είμαστε εγγυητές της σταθερότητας, δεν μπορούμε να επιτρέψουμε η χώρα μας να εμπλακεί σε κοινοβουλευτική κρίση (και)…να είμαστε όμηροι σε κομματικές φιλοδοξίες και επιθυμίες”, είπε ο Γκλάβτσεφ στη διάρκεια της τελετής ανάληψης των καθηκόντων της υπηρεσιακής κυβέρνησης.
Ο 60χρονος Γκλάβτσεφ διετέλεσε επικεφαλής της Εθνικής Ελεγκτικής Υπηρεσίας.
Η Βουλγαρία, το φτωχότερο μέλος της ΕΕ και μια από τις πιο διεφθαρμένες χώρες του μπλοκ, κλυδωνίζεται από πολιτική αστάθεια μετά τις διαδηλώσεις κατά της διαφθοράς το 2020.
Μέχρι τις εκλογές τον Απρίλιο του 2023 την χώρα κυβερνούσαν διαδοχικά υπηρεσιακές κυβερνήσεις που είχαν διοριστεί από τον Ράντεφ απούσης μιας σταθερής εκλεγμένης συμμαχίας.
Νωρίτερα μέσα στον μήνα η υπουργός Εξωτερικών Μαρίγια Γκάμπριελ απέτυχε να σχηματίσει κυβέρνηση έπειτα από την παραίτηση του πρωθυπουργού Νικολάι Ντένκοφ του κόμματος “Συνεχίζουμε την αλλαγή” (PP) στις 5 Μαρτίου.
Ο Ντένκοφ παραιτήθηκε για να επιτρέψει στο κόμμα “Πολίτες για την Ευρωπαϊκή Ανάπτυξη της Βουλγαρίας” (GERB) να ηγηθεί της κυβέρνησης για εννέα μήνες όπως συμφωνήθηκε μετά τις εκλογές του περασμένου χρόνου.
Απέρριψε επίσης την πρόταση του Ράντεφ να επιχειρήσει να σχηματίσει κυβέρνηση.
Στις εκλογές τον περασμένο Απρίλιο το GERB βγήκε πρώτο εξασφαλίζοντας 69 έδρες στη βουλή των 240 εδρών. Το μπλοκ υπό το PP εξασφάλισε 64 έδρες. Με βάση το Σύνταγμα, το κοινοβούλιο της Βουλγαρίας δεν χρειάζεται να διαλυθεί πριν από τη διενέργεια πρόωρων εκλογών.
